The New Jack and Jill
Here’s how it happened. First, the IRS took half her water in taxes. Then the Department of Justice took her bucket because it might be made out of illegal wood from India. Then the DNR fined Jill for disrupting the habitat of some creek guppy no one ever heard of.
The NLRB ruled Jill could only fetch water in Washington State and had to pay union guys to do it. TSA did a full cavity search and a double pat down of her mommy parts; that had nothing to do with the bucket of water, they just get off on that stuff. When she gasped, the EPA fined her for an excessive carbon dioxide emission.
Then Bruce and Lance named Jill in a class-action lawsuit because she got to inherit her husband’s bucket of water while they couldn’t even get married. She was banned from the Labor Day parade in Wausau because Jack never joined the water-fetchers union and voted Republican once. The USDA had her detained when a tip came in that she might have raw milk in that bucket.
President Obama decided Jill had more water than she needed, and said we would all be better off with him “spreadin’ the wet around”. Joe Biden later claimed he hydrated or moistened over 2 million Americans. One solar panel company took 365 million gallons of government stimulus water and then moved to China. Al Gore made a Power Point movie that showed Jill boiling polar bears in her bucket on coal-fired stove. He made billions off the fakery.
An angry mob stalked Jill wherever she went because she wouldn’t buy their water, shouting “shame, shame, shame” and drumming for months. When she suggested they could just Segway up the hill and fetch a pail for themselves like she did, the Congressional Black Caucus called her a racist and Maxine Waters told her to go to hell. Jimmy Hoffa said he would take sons of bitches like her out; she was pretty sure he didn’t mean on a date.
Afraid for her life, Jill went to buy a handgun but had to wait five days. Then she found out she could not carry it in her purse in Wisconsin until November anyway. While she counted the days down, a teen flashmob beat and then pistol-whipped her after the state fair. “Wow – how’d you guys get your training and permits already?” she marveled, spitting teeth. Jill was a little naïve about criminals and guns.
Meanwhile Ben Bernanke started printing trillions of new bucket-o-water redemption certificates, and Jill’s bucket of real water shot up in price from 300 certificates per fluid ounce to over 1,900 of the bogus Fed water-coupons. Ron Paul and Peter Schiff said “toldya” while Michael Moore made a movie about Jill’s obscene water-wealth entitled “Koch Whore.” When Jack Jr. got suspended from school for calling some gay kid a “teabagger”, Jill wondered why all those liberal commentators on TV still had jobs.
And then Jill started to notice that fewer and fewer people were hiking up the hill to fetch their own heavy pails of water, while more and more people sat at the bottom of the hill, demanding government quench their thirst. After a time, they did not even know where the water came from; and they did not care. They just wanted more; they said they were entitled to it.
They elected politicians who promised them free water. Her government blamed the rich water-fetchers like Jill for the thirst of those who sat at the bottom of the hill in poverty. That same government took and more of Jill’s water away from her in taxes; they forced her to pay fetching permits; they regulated her route; they mandated airbags for her buckets; they forced her to buy insurance she did not want; they invaded other countries and sent her the bill.
And they did not stop at taking her property. They told her where she could send her kids to school and what they must be taught. They made her pay a union in order to fetch buckets of water for herself. They told her what she could eat, drive, smoke, own, sell, buy, wear, drink, study, build, party with, heat with, light with, listen to, watch, flush, shoot, visit, record, say, write, and marry.
They told her she could not be trusted to make those decisions for herself; and they built new prisons to hold her if she made choices they did not like. One Party told her this is what democracy looks like; the other Party couldn’t even come up with a catchy slogan for it.
Both Parties buried the nation in debt so deep that neither Jack Jr. nor Jack III would ever see it paid back. They spent Jill’s money on themselves and their friends; then they had the nerve to call her greedy and heartless for wanting to keep what she earned for herself and her children.
And then one day, Jill had a moment of clarity. She read somewhere that liberty is the absence of government in choice; that government is the absence of liberty in choice; that tyranny is the absence of choice in government. The dairy-queen light bulb finally went off for Jill.
She saw tyranny for the first time in the good intentions of those who would take her liberty for her own good. She never asked them to save her, and they never asked if they could. Jill discovered they did not care about her. She remembered that her rights were endowed to her by her Creator, not created by any legislature. She realized that they only took as much liberty from her as she gave away.
Jill reclaimed her liberty. She made liberty her first principle - that is what it means to be a libertarian. Did she live happily ever after? No, that only happens in fairy tales and in the imaginations of empty heads who believe the lies of politicians who promise happiness they cannot deliver.
But she did live free ever after; she owned herself. And so should you.
Food for thought and a reason to defeat the gun control nannies
Here’s an interesting side bar.
After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941,
They could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California
To finish what they started.
The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a
Massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River .
Remember, we had a 2 million man army and war ships…...
All fighting the Germans.
So, why did they not invade?
After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question.
Their answer…...
They know that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them.
The world's largest army... America's hunters!
I had never thought about this....
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and
Arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin..
Allow me to restate that number.
Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth
Largest army in the world.
More men under arms than in Iran ..
More than in France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt
With firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of
Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters All of whom have now returned home.
Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally
Establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone
Would comprise the largest army in the world.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
Food for thought when next we consider gun control

Just one reason we need immigration reform

JOBS! With the United States unemployment levels nearing 10%, we can’t afford to give jobs to illegal immigrants.
According to NumbersUSA.org, around 22 million American workers who want a full-time job can’t find one. This counts the officially unemployed, those involuntarily in part-time jobs, and those who recently dropped off the official unemployment list. Just this past week, the Obama administration said they will start granting work permits to illegal immigrants. This will, obviously, negatively affect those millions of unemployed and underemployed U.S. citizens.
As to the argument that immigrants typically accept jobs Americans are unwilling to do, NumbersUSA points out that those unemployed are from all levels of job skills but a disproportionate number of those looking for work are in the lower skilled jobs that are primarily taken by foreign workers. In addition, NumbersUSA said that less than 10% of ALL foreign workers enter the country with any regard to their skills or whether the job market needs their skills.
From a personal perspective, a job doing yard work for us, typically filled by a high school student, was applied for by several adult men (and one woman) eager to find any work. Many of the applicants were looking for yet another part-time job to supplement other part-time jobs they had going. A middle aged Army vet who was unwilling to accept government hand-outs as a way to get by was eventually hired; he also has a couple of other part-time jobs.
While legal immigration has been a part of the history of the United States from the very beginning of this great nation and while immigrants have helped form our country, recent trends in the flow of immigration have changed dramatically. From 1776-1976, legal immigration averaged around 250,000 people per year. Since 1990, according to NumbersUSA, around 1 million legal immigrants a year and more than 800,000 illegal aliens a year settle permanently in the United States. The job force cannot possibly sustain this influx of workers.
Who is most affected by the increase in immigration?
- Blacks – Forty years after Congress passed Civil Rights laws, the lack of job opportunities for the Black Americans without skills is disproportionate to the general population with an unemployment rate of about 40% for black American men between the ages of 18 and 65.
- Low-skilled workers – Occupations such as those in meatpacking, dry-walling, other construction trades, and hospitality jobs that once paid decent money have collapsed into near-poverty or poverty levels with a disproportionate number of those jobs filled by foreign workers.
- Youth – The unemployment rate for Americans ages 16-17 is 34%; for Hispanic teens it is 48%; and for Black American teenagers it is 60%.
We need reform and we need it yesterday. Let your voice be heard and tell your elected officials we need immigration reform!

United States – catering to the lowest common denominator
Exceptionalism is no longer rewarded in today’s society. Instead we dummy down everything to the lowest achievement level of the participants so that no one will “feel bad.” From the feel good soccer games where scores are not kept to the classrooms where there are no failing grades, there is no incentive to do your best or even to make an effort.
The children of today are going to grow up thinking any extraordinary effort to do well is pointless. In our “feel good” society no one fails and everyone is happy.
However, in the real world, effort and achievement do matter. In business, it is those who work the hardest who are the most successful. In professional situations, it is the person who puts in the extra hours who is rewarded with promotions. Effort and ability are important in every adult situation where success is desired.
If we continue to dummy down our kids our great United States will become a Third World country.

Armed and Aware Citizen 3, Crooks 0
Down in the West Texas town of El Paso ...............
Three armed felons crossed the U. S . border and attempted to rob an off duty El Paso police officer
(a former United States Marine) dressed in civilian clothes while he stood in front of a bank.
The plan was for two of them to grab his backpack and toss it to an accomplice on a stolen motorcycle.
However, the well prepared police officer shot all of them, killing two immediately.
The third was shot in both arms and bled to death before the ambulance arrived.
This is how much the U. S . Taxpayer would have had to pay to prosecute these thugs:
Arrest and detention for 1 night = -$6,000
Transportation for deportation back to Mexico the next day = -$1000
Air time for Obama to apologize in 30 minute speech$25,007,000
What it actually cost:
Four .40 rounds = $1.00
Taxpayer savings = $25,006,999.00
They Picked The Wrong Man to rob - Only in TEXAS !
THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TIME FOR A 911 CALL IS 4 MINUTES
THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TIME FOR A .40 S&W ROUND IS ABOUT 1225 FEET PER SECOND.

Illegal aliens dreams come true

Although the United State Congress killed the Obama Administration’s DREAM Act, the powers-that-be have found a way around that legality and thereby instituting what the Republicans are calling “backdoor amnesty.”
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) head Janet Napolitano has sent a letter to Senate Democrats stating that it would “enhance public safety” by focusing deportation efforts on those “who pose a threat.” DHS will now review all deportations of illegal immigrants on a case-by-case basis thus circumventing any laws designed to make sure those in the United States illegally are deported.
One of Obama’s toughest critics, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, said the move amounts to the administration implementing and immigration overhaul “via executive fiat.” Texas Republican Representative Michael McCaul said “It is just the latest attempt by this president to bypass the intended legislative process when he does not get his way.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton has instructed staff to consider 19 factors when exercising “prosecutorial discretion.” The list includes many of the factors listed in the DREAM Act that was not passed by Congress. In other words, if Congress won’t give the illegals a free pass then the President will just make an executive order.
By the way – one way to escape deportation is to pursue an education. Anyone want to guess who is probably picking up the tab for college education of those who will now get amnesty?

No words can express this sacrifice
It was always beyond belief to me how the Japanese could treat the survivors this way and then bleat about unfair Hiroshima was....
Okay – now it is time to go for the wrath of the Tea Party loyalists
Many in the Tea Party movement will swear allegiance to only Tea Party candidates.
First of all, without nationwide endorsements, how do we identify the Tea Party Candidates? We can only assume Tea Party IDEALS in candidates. The Republican Party has many candidates vying for the Republican Presidential nomination and many of them are claiming to hold Tea Party ideals. There is no Tea Party ticket and no true Tea Party candidate. We must each do our homework and find out who best represents those ideals we want in a presidential candidate.
Second, and this is where I will get the hate mail, even a non-Tea Party type of Republican candidate will be better than our current president. While many will swear that the only person deserving of a vote is a candidate upholding those principles of the Tea Party, in the long run, withholding a vote or voting out of spite will only insure that Barack Obama gets another four years in the White House. Considering the harm he has done to our country in the past three years, one can only imagine what devious schemes he has in store for the United States if left in power.
Primaries are important in that, hopefully, we can winnow down to the best candidates for public office. Unfortunately sometimes we don’t get the best but get what is served to us. It is necessary that we all become involved in elections, learn about candidates, campaign for the best, and encourage others to vote. And although closed primaries are restrictive (voters can only vote in primaries as registered Democrats or registered Republicans), not allowing the opposing party to chose our candidates for us is important. There have been many primary elections ‘won’ by someone running for office because they were deemed the weaker candidate and a candidate who could be beaten in a general election.
Politics is dirty. Sometimes all the candidates stink. In that case, we must hold our nose and vote for the one who is the least offensive. To sit at home and petulantly refuse to vote for anyone only allows someone like Barack Obama a win.

Free Enterprise....Some Humor
The Haircut One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door. Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut. And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it. BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON! |

The relevancy of the Tea Party in today’s media

The Tea Party movement began in 2009 as a grassroots effort to give the power back to the people of the United States.
Since those early days of rallies, the Tea Party has grown and many Conservative politicians will seek out a Tea Party endorsement when running for office. The 2010 general elections saw a Freshman class filled with many Tea Party endorsed candidates elected to U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate; among those in that Freshman class are Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky, Senator Marco Rubio from Florida, and Congressman Allen West also from Florida.
However, if one were to only listen to the Main Stream Media (MSM), one would think those who align themselves with the Tea Party are a bunch of ‘fringe element lunatics.’
Those who would like to see a Federal government more closely resembling the limited government the Founding Fathers had in mind when they drafted the United States Constitution, beg to differ. A recent poll shows registered voters who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters now stands at 22% while registered voters who define themselves as Liberal is a mere 21%.
The MSM, Liberal by nature, would like to continue to mislead the Moderate public. Today we are seeing headlines such as “Tea Party the Cause of the S&P Downgrade.” Rather than face the real problem of America’s debt (over spending), those in the MSM are blaming those folks who pay the taxes for not paying more taxes.
The Tea Party knows the Federal government (and some states) is in an out-of-control death spiral of unsustainable deficits brought on by more and more ‘big’ government programs. Many of those programs (or mandates) are liberty-robbing intrusions into our every day lives. In addition, the government has created thousands of regulations designed to undermine the entrepreneurial spirit from which this great country was born.
So what is the Tea Party? Basically it follows the same guidelines proposed by the Founding Fathers and written in the United States Constitution such as: limited federal government, individual freedoms, personal responsibility, free markets, and returning political power to the states and the people. Oh my, how radical is that?
All this brings to mind a quote from Mahatma Gandhi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Friends, keep up the fight – we are on the way to a victory!

Budget deal

It looks like a major comprise has been reached regarding the debt ceiling and the budget. Although it is not a perfect deal by far, it may be something we can live with for now.
Many very Conservatives, especially Tea Party members, are decrying the compromise as a ‘sell-out’ by those Conservatives elected to the House in 2010. However, we must remember that it takes all three elements to get anything passed: the House, the Senate, and the Executive. Only the House is controlled by Republicans (and some of them are RINOs). The Republicans were also up against the media who were slanting the news in such a way that the Republicans were looking like stubborn politicians who only wanted to “give tax breaks to big business and throw grandma off the cliff.”
For anything to move forward there was going to have to be compromise. Tea Party Republicans are being vilified but to take a stand where everyone loses is not in anyone’s best interest. There was no way the Tea Party was going to get EVERYTHING their way but they were able to take significant steps towards getting more control on an out of control government.
Rather than continuing to gripe, moan, and complain about what didn’t happen, it is time for Conservatives to step up and celebrate the small victories. It is also time to start laying the foundation for future elections, especially the rapidly approaching 2012 elections. We need to work hard to maintain control of the House and then tackle the Senate and the Executive. We need more people in the Legislative Branch like Allen West, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul. We need to work hard to make sure that Barack Obama is a one-term President. Then and only then can we truly make progress to fiscal responsibility.

Five Simple Sentences....important thoughts...
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by
legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for,
another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that
the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not
have to work because the other half is going to take care
of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it
does no good to work, because somebody else is going
to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the
end of any nation.
Can you think of a reason for not sharing this?
Neither could I......

You can’t legislate good parenting

This week a jury in Florida found defendant Casey Anthony not guilty of killing her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. Because of the circumstances surrounding this case and the fact that Casey Anthony did not report her daughter missing for over a month, many assumed her to be guilty.
Well, Casey Anthony was guilty. She was guilty of not being a good parent at the very least. Unfortunately bad parenting isn’t against the law of the land or the law of nature. Sometimes it seems that there should be a test before reproduction is allowed to take place, much like a test to see if one is smart enough to drive a car.
It is really hard to imagine any parent going for that length of time without calling authorities. Good parents would have called the police and would have been hysteric if a two-year-old was missing for minutes, let alone a month. Added to this, Casey partied to her heart’s content and did not seem to be actively looking for the missing child.
The United States was caught up in this drama and watched numerous television shows for months detailing every spoken word from the courtroom. When the verdict was handed down, the nation, for the most part, was outraged. People wanted to do something for Caylee. They wanted to see that little girl get some kind of justice, any justice.
Many states are now considering legislation, in light of this one case, to make it a crime to not report a child missing. Many are calling for a “Caylee’s Law.” This sounds good on the surface but a good parent does not need a law to tell them to report a missing child. A good parent knows how to parent.
Unfortunately we have become a society that encourages bad parenting. Teen mothers? No problem – high schools will allow teen moms to bring the little ones to school with them (and let someone else watch the child). Single mothers? No problem – welfare actually encourages and pays more for households when there are no responsible adult men around. Want to abandon your child? No problem – just drop the baby off at the fire or police station. Your child is an out of control little monster? Not your problem – it is society’s fault.
What we need is good common sense and solid family structure. Good parenting is learned from good examples not more legislation. We don’t need more laws that can’t or won’t be enforced.

There is no perfect candidate
Recently a conservative friend asked me “Why do Conservatives eat their own?” What he meant by that was that we tend to attack someone who might not share every point of view as our own.
Here is a big shocker for all to consider: There is no perfect candidate!
The race to replace Barack Obama as President of the United States has attracted quite the long list of Republican candidates. Each is developing a platform and each has agendas and ideas they would hope to implement if elected President.
Each has baggage as well.
What we don’t need is personal attacks on any of these potential candidates so early in the election season. The Democrats will attack and attack with a vengeance in due time. Republicans need to maintain a high ground amongst other Republicans. Recent televised debates were a welcome change from past attacks and praise for fellow Republicans was heard loudly and consistently from all participants. The media really didn’t like that. One moderator tried to provoke but to no avail. Kudos to the debate participants for this!
The other part of not having the perfect candidate comes during the actual general election. One way to assure that this current administration is awarded a second term it to pout and not vote simply because the Republican nominee “isn’t conservative enough” or “is too conservative” or “black” or “a woman” or whatever other stupid reason. Sometimes both candidates ‘stink’ and you just have to hold your nose and vote for the one who smells the least offense.
There were many, many Republicans who stayed home and didn’t vote in 2008 because they had issues with the McCain/Palin ticket. How did that work out?
